Experience

Teaches Math, Sciences, SAT and ACT Full Time Faculty at Pillar College, Newark, NJ. Ph.D. Candidate at Biola University, CA I had a perfect score of 800 out of 800 for SAT Math. In the past I have tutored students from Ivy league schools like Yale and Columbia in various subjects. I have private tutoring experience for the past 10 years. Examples of successful tutoring experiences include: I tutored a student in summer of 2010, two times a week (for the entire summer), and together, we were able to raise her grades from a low C to an A for math. A second instance would be the time when I worked with a student and raised her SAT math score from the 400 to 680. Tutoring is something I absolutely enjoy. It's such a joy to see students understand complex concepts and apply them in both academic and real-world settings. I am available for tutoring subjects from grade 6-12 (middle school and high school), as well as college level tutoring. I completed my Masters degree in May 2011 at Nyack College with a GPA of 3.85. I worked as Graduate Assistant for Professor Julianne Cox at Nyack College. I also did a one-year internship for my Masters Program in Higher Education learning methodologies to teach both undergraduate and graduate students, preparing syllabi, grading papers, and teaching students. I completed my bachelor degree in Education and Science, Technology & Society at New Jersey Institute of Technology, and my concentration was in Math and Science classes. According to my friends, I am good at explaining complex concepts to them in simple ways. I have also worked as a camp counselor and am good at communicating difficult concepts to students. I was a Physics Teaching Assistant at NJIT’s Physics Department. I have also taught/tutored in North Star Academy, Arts High School & University High School in Newark, NJ Relevant Classes taken: Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Linear Algebra, General Biology, Introduction to Physics, Physics I, Chemistry I, Calculus I and II, Computer Programming and Problem Solving, Physical Chemistry for Biological Sciences, Probability and Statistics, Introduction to Materials Science, Biomaterials and Biocompatibility.
