Education
I am currently a Sophomore who attended the University of Connecticut for three semesters, but transferred to Montclair State University, where I am working on an English degree. I plan to apply for the Teacher Education Program for a certification to teach English, Pre-K through 12th grade.
Experience
While I have had no formal tutoring experience, I consider my education experience in itself. I've spent countless hours peer editing, helping my brother with his papers and homework assignments, taking in the advice of my own teachers and using that to write my own papers and help my friends with theirs. I want to be a tutor because I love seeing people succeed. It makes me happy to see kids have that "I get it now!" look in their eyes. I know what it feels like to have those moments, and I would love to be able to help another student feel the same way. My SAT scores were: 600 (Math) 600 (Verbal) 680 (Writing)
